About This Project

Flanagan Farm is located in Buxton, Maine. It is currently used as wedding and party venue and is comprised of a spectacular barn for events; mid-19th Century farmhouse for guests; a cottage transformed from a hen house, and acres of working farmland. The house, barn, and land were in a state of severe neglect when our client took on the project. In renovating and decorating it, we endeavored to keep the sense of age and rusticity, but also to make it welcoming and comfortable. The interior of the house is filled with cool paint colors and bright fabrics, and a mix of antique and new furniture. In the barn we created a lounge in the loft and a bar in what had been the lumber room. The hen house is now a cottage with a rustic, but private outdoor bathroom.
